A 50 year incident is a rare event. At Ripley Auctions we love a great collection, a collection that tells a story. A 50 year incident tells a story, usually the kind of story that legends are made of. We have seen our share of great collections, 50 year event collections. The irony is not lost when considering the collections of Bonny Yankauer of New Jersey. The irony is that Bonny collected jewelry for over 50 years. Bonny had an eye for design, for quality, for condition, and this collection tells a story that reads like a novel. Rare incidents usually leave one wishing they were better prepared for the occurrence. Fortunately Ripley Auctions was prepared for this collection, and we hope that you collectors are as well. It may be another 50 years before this opportunity comes around again. That is the thing about a 50 year flood.

Bonny’s jewelry will be sold at auction, every piece, and it will take a series of sales to sell it all. The series starts on Monday, June 6th, at 3pm ET. The first session will feature many of the finest designs of costume jewelry manufactured by the great jewelry companies of the 20th century. In this series, jewelry lovers will have the opportunity to buy premier parures, brooches, necklaces, rings, earrings, tiaras and even belts and brassieres from such great companies as Trifari, Eisenberg, Miriam Haskell, Schiaparelli, Tiffany & Co., DeRosa, Reja, Staret, Mazer, Nettie Rosenstein, Georg Jensen, Marcel Boucher, Georges Braque, Hattie Carnegie, Coro Duette, CoroCraft, Hobe, Jomaz, Sandor, Schreiner, Karl Lagerfeld, Valentino, Christian Dior, Chanel, Gucci, David Yurman, John Hardy, Judith Ripka, Konstantino, Ralph Lauren, Ed Levin, Angela Cummings, Effy, Lagos Caviar, Mimi Di N, Joseff of Hollywood, Fred A. Block, Bakelite, Taxco Sterling Silver, William Spratling, Antonio Pineda, Native American sterling silver & many others. Later sessions will include fine estate jewelry executed in gold and platinum with diamonds and other precious gems, Modernist designs, and 19th century masterpieces plus treasures yet to be exposed even to us.

Ripley Auctions will offer all lots with absentee, phone and live in-person bidding through our website antiquehelper.com. Live Internet bidding will include real-time audio/video and is available on Invaluable.com, Auctionzip.com and eBay Live. Buyers are strongly encouraged to attend the live auction and witness the spectacle, gain an education, handle each piece and enjoy the financial advantages of a reduced buyer’s premium and no shipping costs. Online bidders will be pleased to know that we are offering a simple shipping cost calculation to provide fair and easy fulfillment.

We guarantee you would have to watch the roadshow for more than 50 years to witness such a presentation of vintage jewelry.
