From askART: The artist, who is Mrs. Frank Harbart in private life, has studied at the University of Illinois, the University of California, the Chicago Art Institute*, Ohio University, and the Saugatuck Painting School*. She taught three years in an art school sponsored by the South Bend Art Association, and is a member of the Hoosier Salon, the Chicago Art Institute, and the John Herron Institute of Indianapolis. A painting by Mrs. Harbart was awarded a $150 prize at the Northern Indiana Art Salon in Hammond as the most outstanding entry in the show. She has also exhibited in the Terry National Exhibition in Miami, Florida; Youngstown National Exhibit at Youngstown, Ohio, and at the Butler Institute. She received first prize at the Indiana State Fair in 1953.
