Vintage beaded clutch purse embellished with faceted clear glass jewels and applied enamelled forget-me-not flowers with rhinestone centers, (3 missing). Original cloth tag inside; "Hand Beaded in USA by Josef" with "Bernice C. Garbisch" name plate. Garbisch was a New York Society figure in the 40s & 50s. According to the consigner, the bag was purchased by her mother between 1948-50 at a New York thrift shop where it was the custom for society ladies to donate slightly used designer goods. Satin lining with pocket on each side containing coin purse and folding wallet with mirror adorned with matching enamel floral flourish, (one missing a rhinestone). Fantastic detail, must see. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2". Very good condition with no holes, tears, or visible loss. Needs cleaning. Sold as is.
