Scott was President of The Decorative Arts Society for seven years, and President of the Asian Art Society for two years, both at The Indianapolis Museum of Art/Newfields. Scott taught courses in art history of the decorative arts at the Herron School of Art and Design, in Indianapolis, for fourteen years as well.
