Biography from the Archives of AskArt: David Padworny BFA (1976); A painter, draftsman, photographer and sculptor, David Padworny was born in Norristown, Pennsylvania and currently lives and works as a full time artist in New York City.

His mediums are oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels, found objects*, crushed glass, mixed mediums, digital art, photograph and assemblage*. His subjects include portraits, faces, figures, nudes, interiors, street views, animals, social commentary and pure abstraction – color, shape, line and texture. Most of his paintings and sculptures have a heavy impasto or texture. His styles include Abstract Expressionism*, Expressionism*, Modernism*, Realism* (some photographs) and Surrealism*.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art (1999) where he studied under under Timothy App and Raoul Middleman. Padworny also received private instruction from Charles Rowe, Edson Campos and Barbara Bassett.

Padworny's works have been featured in numerous exhibitions, the most recent venues include Cadena Gallery, New York; Image Gallery, New York; and the Scope Art Show at Basel, Miami.
