Georges La Chance (American, 1888-1964), Brown County Hills, Oil on board, 5 1/4" x 7 1/4", signed lower left. LaChance was an Indiana painter of Impressionist landscapes. He was a charter member of the Brown County Art Gallery Association. He exhibited at the Marshall Field Gallery, and Art Institute of Chicago; Sheldon Swope Art Gallery, Terre Haute, Indiana; and the Hoosier Salon, from 1926-1961.
