Isabel White (1924-1994) "Bright Still Life"; oil on canvas; 20" x 24"; signed lower right. Provenance; Lois Whittredge, sister of Isabel White. White is a well known Hoosier Salon artist from Decatur, Indiana with artist ties to Florida. A retrospective of her work, which included the pieces offered here, took place at The Hoosier Salon Gallery in 1996. The chronology of her work is not known. It is supposed that the monochromatic works are earliest. Her trademark, vivid blues, appear increasingly over time.
