Biography from Worthpoint: Kenneth Bradley Loomis (1900-1974) was a painter, graphic artist, and designer. He served as assistant curator at the Hammond House Museum in Tarrytown, New York. He was Chair of the Texas Woman's University Art Department in the mid twentieth century after serving as Chairman of the School of Art at Illinois Wesleyan University in the 1940s. The exterior mural on the Library Science Building at TWU (now Bralley Annex) was designed by Loomis and dedicated in 1956. Kenneth Loomis had previously designed murals for both the Chicago and New York World's Fairs, as well as a WPA mural at the Washington Irving School in Irvington, New York.
