From AskArt: Louise Johnson had a career in painting, which began with the study of art under the well George Jo Mess. She studied portrait and figure painting with Elmer Taflinger and sculpting with Adolph Wolter. Also, she attended art classes at Indiana Central College; John Herron School of Art*, I.U.P.U.I., and the Indianapolis Art League Foundation, classes by Edward Manetta of St. Johns University, New York.

Mrs. Johnson has taught art classes for the Southside Art League, Bluff Culture Center, Eli Lilly & Co., and also studio teaching in Indianapolis. She specialized in Portraiture.

"Her "life-like" portraits will always accurately capture and reflect color tones and the individual personality of the subject. Her work has been purchased by art collectors, business organizations, individuals, and various institutions."

Mediums:
Watercolor, Oil Acrylics, Pastels and Egg Tempera. In ALL subject matters, both in contemporary and realism.
