Biography from MartinTreinen.com: Hi I'm Marty Treinen. Creating visual art has always been a part of my life. I love the process of taking what I'm seeing and creating a visual experience for me and my audience. Throughout my career, I've created artworks in many different mediums. This includes; 2 and 3 dimensional works, drawings, paintings, prints, sculpture and multi-media. But I've also worked in film, television and theater; creating set design, art, scenic props and scenic backdrops. It also includes interior design and museum exhibits; creating interactive experiences and spaces to enjoy. It is easy for me to work between the different art forms. They all require an understanding of visual language and how it affects our lives. Sight is the first language we use to understand the world around us. The diversity of my work is as varied as my life. So my work is inspired by every day interactions with my surroundings.

My work includes pop cultural and our mass production society. It includes natural blooming desert plants and commercially grown flowers. But it also include portraits of the people around me. It conveys some of the periods and experiences of my life and expectations of the future. Some help me to understand the world around me as it is unfolding, not quite understood. One thing I know is that it is really easy for me to forget, so in many cases my works as a visual memoir. While my work is based on my own experiences, you may find something in one of my works, that resonates with you.
