Biography from Butler Institute of American Art: Marvin Cherney 1925-1966 (from an ACA Gallery exhibition Cherney published in April of 1964)

Born in Baltimore, November 1, 1925. Marvin Cherney attended the Maryland Institute of Art and the School for Art Studies, New York. Following his formal training, he travelled in Europe and hten returned to settle in New York.
