From his NY Times Obituary: Nahum Tschacbasov was a Russian- born painter, teacher and poet. Mr. Tschacbasov's work is in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Jewish Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art. He formed his own school of fine arts in Woodstock, N.Y., and also taught at the Art Students League. A book of his poems, 'The Machinery of Fright,' was published by Southampton College Press in 1982.
