Robert Berkshire (American), "Introspection", oil on canvas, 30 1/2" x 20". Berkshire taught at Herron School of Art where he is now professor emeritus of painting. His abstract paintings can be found in the permanent collections of the Indianapolis Museum of Art, the Indiana State Museum, and the National Museum of Sports. Provenance: Farber Gallery of Art, Indianapolis. The Farber Gallery collections were primarily purchased in the 1970's. The gallery was only open for a few years in the 1980's in Indianapolis. Most items have been in storage since 1990. All items with Farber provenance are guaranteed as described for an extended period of 45 days from the date of auction.
