Original watercolor illustration for "Songs of Friendship", by Indiana poet, James Whitcomb Riley. Included is a c.1915 edition of the book with illustration on p. 63. Vawter illustrated the James Whitcomb Riley series, The Rabbit's Ransom and other children's books. He also illustrated comics for newspapers in Cincinnati, Indianapolis, and Judge, and Life magazines.
